Bitcoin price today: slips to $67k, set for 4th weekly loss; January CPI cools
Bitcoin traded around $67,000 on Friday, extending its recent lethargy and looking set to record a fourth consecutive weekly decline as investors took a cautious stance amid broad weakness across risk assets.
Dollar slips lower and heads for weekly loss; payrolls offers little support
The U.S. dollar slipped slightly lower Thursday, remaining under pressure and on track for a weekly drop, even after a stronger-than-expected U.S. jobs report.
At 04:30 ET (09:30 GMT), the Dollar Index, which tracks the greenback against a basket of six other currencies, traded 0.1% lower to 96.700, and on course for a weekly loss of around 1%.
Gold slips below $5,000, silver slumps after blowout U.S. jobs report
Gold and silver prices fell on Thursday, amid a larger risk-off move in equities and a move towards bonds after stronger-than-expected U.S. payrolls data.
Traders also digested renewed trade uncertainty, while looking ahead to a key inflation reading due Friday.
Oil prices tumble after IEA cuts world demand forecast; U.S.-Iran tensions simmer
Oil prices slid on Thursday, reversing earlier gains after the International Energy Agency lowered its global oil demand forecast for 2026.
At 12:49 ET (17:49 GMT), Brent oil futures for April fell 2.9% to $67.37 a barrel and West Texas Intermediate crude futures dropped 3% to $62.67 a barrel.
